Easiest University to get into In Canada as well as easy to survive in UoIT. Also, UoIT is the most innovating University comparing to other Universities in Canada. The University is very brand new, professors are a bit lenient and always supportive as they're always there to help you. This University is like the Canadian version of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

Two unique factors about Ontario Tech University is that, it's the first University in Canada to provide Geothermal well fields in which it is North America's largest. Ontario Tech University also has the largest and most sophisticated climatic wind tunnels on the planet.

Best university by far, local feel. My class size was not huge, profs were very acssessible and provided good feedback. Learnt a lot here including good research and presentation skills.
Very high tech campus, good library and very diverse student body. Proximity to Durham college is good (more facilities), but also bad in some ways.
The only two negetives are: the campus, including the library, closes at midnight at the latest.
School changed names since I graduated. I should be provided new gear for free.

Note.. The name changed in 2019 to "Ontario Tech. University".

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology is a relatively new university. The university was founded in 2002 and took first batch of students in 2003.
The univerdityvhas two campuses... The msin campus in the northern part of Oshawa and it houses engineering, science, health and information technology programs. The other campus is atbthe downtown of Oshawa. It houses the programs of social sciences and teacher education.
The university is becoming a defining part of the city of Oshawa.
Although it is a new university, it is ranked among the top universities in Canada. It has strong research outputs. It houses the ACE Climatic Wind Tunnel, which is one of the biggest wind tunnels in the world.

Loved my experience at the university. I have nothing but positive memories. Really new campus and many quiet places to study.
