Ruggles Janice Dr

She is one obstetrician who is very easy to talk to. My pregnancy was complicated by Rh sensitization that my husband and I were unaware of and she spotted that in our first meeting! She was very understanding and patiently answered every query that we had. She referred us to one of the best MFM specialists in Toronto and followed up with us after every visit with the specialist. Being a doctor myself, I was amazed by the health care she provided to us. She ensures the patient is taken care of completely, sometimes even at the cost of her personal time.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ruggles and her staff (Anna and her husband Jim were always very friendly and professional towards me) during my pregnancy with my son. I had some pregnancy complications and Dr. Ruggles took every precaution to make sure I carried the baby to term. There was even an instance when I went to emergency and she came by the hospital to check in on me and ensure that myself and the baby were okay. She was great in explaining test results, recommended plan of action, and during the delivery of my son she was very comforting and gave good direction to everyone around her (myself included!). In my experience, I felt that she and her staff really cared and I would definitely have her as my doctor again if I have another child.

I was very lucky to have Dr. Ruggles as my OB during my first pregnancy. I had a few complications and was considered high risk, but Dr. Ruggles never failed to answer questions or put my mind at ease. I found her care was much better than my high risk doctors at Mt.Sinai. She is a great listener and actually takes time with her patients. She wasn't able to deliver my baby unfortunately (due to a fast, early labor) but she was there immediately afterwards, and each time I was admitted to the hospital during my pregnancy. Dr. Ruggles is knowledgeable, kind and just an all around amazing doctor and person.
