Sobeys Pickering

Excellent bakery with excellent custom cake order prices. They require 24 hours to prepare the cake on custom orders. Very professional and Prices are very decent.
Polite staff.
Only issue is: there's just one cashier, even on the weekends.

It's too bad that the Pickering store is closing. I'm not sure why. We enjoy shopping here. It's clean and bright with a good selection of items at decent prices. If you go too early you may not get a good selection of meat products. That's one of the drawbacks. The other is the limited selection of ethnic foods. Otherwise it's a good store to shop at.

If ever there was a store that needed a self checkout.... Seems they're always short a cashier or 2. In fairness, the staff they do have seem pretty good. Standard Sobeys otherwise.

It's a Sobeys, they are all pretty much the same. There is a deli and a bakery, fresh vegetables, and processed foods. The price is higher than No Frills or Freshco but the quality is better. Could have used more than 2 tills open on a Saturday but I guess around noon is usually slow.
