Must visit and see trail of Uxbridge....
A very flat trail about 10 feet wide, part of The Great Trail.
From Uxbridge, starting at the trestle bridge near the beer store heading east, the trail goes through many small towns. Great for mountain/fat bikes. Hiking, geocaching. In the summer bring water and bug juice. Keep your dog on a leash because sometimes trappers share the trail and the last thing you want is your furry friend in a conibear trap.
If you head west from the trestle bridge you'll hit some railroad tracks, but push through and in about a kilometer you will find on the North West corner the Second Wedge. The Second Wedge is bicycle friendly dog-friendly and a great place to have high-end cold beer.
Great place for a easy walk.
Amazing restoration and transformation of an old sytem turned into a new system for biker and hikers.. mostly flat, wonderful and even. small gravel used to make this trail accessible to most everyone..there are bars sticking out ground at certain points which may make it hard for wheelchairs or scooters to pass thru so maybe that would be the only downside..great restoration of the tressle bridge .never seen one before in person only in olde tyme movies with the man with no name and such.. this would be better used with a bicycle so you can cover maximum ground with minimal effort..fun for all ages happy trails
