SUMMARY: Greg & Sons was excellent at handling our move from Toronto to south shore Nova Scotia. It's a family run business, and they provide excellent care and attention. Greg & Sons handled the initial loading and the move to storage; Allied movers was handling the transport and unload. This was a large move from a four-level 5-bedroom home and nearby storage locker. Our experience with Greg & Sons and their partner Allied was perfect. In the stress of packing, selling, moving, and all the details that come with that, the dealings with Greg & Sons was stress free, and definitely welcome. I will not hesitate in using Greg & Sons again, and I highly recommend their services. THE QUOTE: When we were getting quotes, Perry (Greg's son) was was excellent and forthright in preparing the quote, with detailed explanation. G&S was not the cheapest quote — but they were the clearest, the most detailed and had to date provided us the best overall customer service. We chose them. CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Once we selected Greg & Sons to move us, Gerri picked up client management and was amazing; she kept us updated on various aspects of the steps, and provided insight and advice that made the planning, transaction and move easier. This process continued over four months as our goods were picked up in January and stored in Toronto until our new house in NS was purchased and our goods delivered in late April. THE PICK-UP: When the team showed up to load the move (one lot from our house; a second lot from a 10x10 nearby storage locker that we culled from the house real estate showing) it was a cold day and a snow storm starting. Perhaps not usual, maybe because of the weather, or maybe multiple crews elsewhere, etc — I was surprised to see Perry show up, with his dad, Greg ... 'The Greg' of & Sons, and Greg's brother (who ran the box numbering list), and another great fellow whose name has slipped my memory. The guys at the top of the company were hauling boxes and doing the heavy work. The load went well, fast and without problems. We loaded from our house, then went to a nearby storage locker 10x10, full to the ceiling and walls and loaded that. 14,980 pounds of stuff. It was a big move. STORAGE: We stored our goods in Toronto as we had not yet purchased a new property in Nova Scotia. Our goods were picked up at our house the last week of January and they were in storage in Toronto until we purchased a house in April. DELIVERY: The long haul from Ontario to NS was handled by Allied. One driver and one assistant unloaded the entire move. Mike, the Allied driver, and his assistant were amazing. Boxes and furniture were placed into their respective rooms over three floors and in an outside workshop. With a crew of two, the unload took about six hours, which I thought was very reasonable; well-deserved breaks were reasonable and the process of sorting and placing added a bit of time. They were very protective of our floors and house and the goods being moved. Very pleasant, hard working and professional. If our experience is the Allied standard, it's a great service. (That's 'The Greg' driving the truck.)

Everything about the move was excellent. The estimator was well experienced and personable. The moving team arrrived on time, was friendly, moved our stuff efficiently and with care, and the bill was under the estimate. I highly recommend Greg & Sons.

I would like to graciously thank Greg and Sons for our smooth move. Greg, Perry, Cameron and Kevin were amazing !! Felt like my family was there moving us. So experienced and professional. They took great care in wrapping our furniture and protecting walls, belongings etc. I was pretty nervous about the move when they arrived but they quickly reassured me all would go well and it sure did.
