Fantastic..great folks there!!

I started visiting pin ups about two years ago and drifted to some other locations in Whitby in that time but have come back (don't worry about your stylist worry about your salon).
Every visit has been a positive one and you never feel like you are in an isolated place. What I mean is the entire staff will interact with you in a friendly fashion because they all seem to think you are just part of the family. You might chat with the stylist next to you while getting your hair cut. I suppose what I am saying is that it is inclusive.
As a person who wants a neighbourhood business to feel like a neighbourhood business this place really ticks a lot of boxes. I'll go back again and again and can't stress how happy you'll be if you visit them.
Add the proximity to the lake for a nice post cut walk and it's all good.

Every man with a beard in Durham should go and see Michelle at PinUps & Pompadours. She is a fantastic barber that will work magic on your hairstyle and facial hair. There is nothing quite like a good shave and trim from a pro that takes pride in her work. She is the best around.

This place is awesome! It’s upbeat and very clean. I got my nails done by Marion and that was quite a learning experience as she was honest and truthful about what she was doing and how she was going to do it. I used to be snowed by other oriental places that charge you for the basic nails but make up some special name for the nails to be able to charge more money for your nails or fill! Marion did a great job!

SO firstly I'll say I work for the health department and have a strong understanding of the health and safety requirements that must be met by a salon/ aesthetics premise, and I know this salon goes above and beyond their requirements and takes great pride in their business.
I'm a redhead (not natural) and have visited Teeny (Christina) twice now to colour and cut my hair and have been beyond pleased. Having a stylist who knows how to work with reds is really not easy to come by. Two weeks ago I also booked a derma-planing facial. I was beyond happy with the time Ashley took with me, and so happy with the results. I found the procedure mildly drying so it might be something I save for the summer months next time. (I have combination skin, slightly sensitive).
Overall, I am so impressed with this salon. The vibes, the people, the professional yet fun demeanour, and THE PRICE. For the services received, its so fairly priced. Highly recommend.
