I am so happy I finally got the chance to try symposium cafe. I have been waiting a long time to check this place out. We ended up going on Father’s Day and surprisingly it was not too busy. This restaurant is located in a very convenient space and has a lot of seating indoors and outdoors.
When we went we decided to sit on their patio. It was a very sunny day and their patio is spacious. Some tables had an umbrella while others did not. Unfortunately we were the unlucky ones that ended up sitting on a table without an umbrella. The staff were apologetic and assured us we would get an umbrella.
We went for brunch and their menu consisted of a variety of items. They had different kinds of eggs and also a special on the mimosas. I ended up getting the rye bread with avocado spread and a poached egg. Also ended up getting the breakfast for champions. I have to say that both dishes were simply amazing and delicious. The avocado toast came with a fresh bowl of mixed fruits while the breakfast of champions came with potatoes, waffles and bacon. To complement our food, we also got the mimosas and strawberry daiquiri. Both amazing drinks that I would definitely go back for. One suggestion would be that the avocado toast and the breakfast of champions are the same price and the avocado toast is a smaller portion. If I were to come back, I wouldn’t get the avocado toast simply because there are other dishes that get you more bang for your buck.
Overall, I love this restaurant and will definitely come back again. I have to give a huge shoutout to the staff for their customer service. They were very accommodating and were checking on all the tables frequently. I recommend everyone to check this restaurant out.
My family and I came for brunch on father’s day and had Alphea was our server. She was very kind and made sure to check on us frequently. She would take the time to ensure that we were fully enjoying everything and would make conversation with us. She had a few other tables but made sure we didn’t feel neglected even if she was busy. She was also great with my nieces, and gave them stickers before we left. She was good at making sure even the children at the table we happy, not just the adults who would be paying. Great service, would recommend.
Kanushka provided such great service giving us her recommendations from the menu which were absolutely bomb! Food was really good and so was the atmosphere. Anytime you want to go out to eat with family or friends you should not hesitate to come here
I was surprised how quiet this place was on a Friday night and think it’s probably because they are in a tucked away corner and the masses haven’t realized it yet. Symposium Cafe always has incredible desserts and this location is no exception! Freshly made crêpe with fresh fruit. Also really enjoyed the Vanilla Cranberry mule!
Our server was on his third day and went over and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Definitely will stop in again especially to enjoy the patio once it’s warmer!
The Symposium Cafe is a lovely restaurant with a different atmosphere . It’s not a sports bar or a roadhouse. Nice and open and you can see what you’re eating. The food tho!! It’s sooo good. I’ve had a few things now I’ve tried that were the best. I can’t wait to try some other dishes! Highly recommended! I will return!! Great service too!
