Great place to try out Peruvian dishes. Food is fresh, flavourful, very well presented, and all questions answered on the cultural significance.
The owner is right there among the staff on the floor making sure the patrons are happy. You would never know it's her.
We ended up closing the place with our waiter, Javier, and the owner chatting up. We hadn't realized they were closing and never felt like we had to go.
You want to try this restaurant.
As a Peruvian I can confidently say this is the best Peruvian restaurant in the entire GTA/maybe the province. The staff is always amazing and kind. Javier was especially stellar as he took the time to provide amazing recommendations and explanations of the food for my friend who had never had Peruvian food before. I am always impressed by the service, the incredible staff and the warm atmosphere.
From the very start, the experience was amazing. Javier, our server, welcomed us immediately. He recommended a drink for me (my husband knew what he wanted) as well as an appetizer. His recommendations were great! The two mains we shared were equally delicious. The ceviche was incredible! Javier was so friendly! He told us about the food we were eating, right now to the spices. We came away from lunch knowing more about Peru and its food. We're already trying to coordinate a night out to El Inka with friends. Thanks for a really great lunch!
The food was good, price is a bit higher considering the portions you get. The food is definitely Peruvian, however not quite the quality I would want or expect when going out to eat. Would rate the taste 7.5/10, which is honestly not bad at all.
This is a place I can comfortably recommend to someone who wants to try Peruvian food for the first time, but it's not a restaurant I'd go out of my way to get.
We wanted something different and did they deliver. Starting off with calamari for appetizers. They were cooked to perfection. My husband's lamb shank was succulent and fall of the bone. The patella was stuffed with seafood and way more than it looked at first glance. Both dishes where very tasty and well worth the money. The service was outstanding. We'll be back for sure.
