LOVE playing for Harrigan Hockey. Great women and lots of fun. Well run league and is perfect for all levels! I couldn’t even stop on skates when I started and after skills and drills, also run but Harrigan Hockey, and a couple of seasons I feel confident and absolutely love hockey!!
I started playing again after about 20 years! So happy I did! Not only am I getting an awesome workout, I'm playing with great women and making friends! Love this league!
Well run hockey league for those looking to play with little to no experience, full out competitive or somewhere in between. Started playing 3 years ago, never having played before, and from day one have had a great and positive experience. I've met some amazing women who are always encouraging and fun to play with! Would highly recommend.
I can not say enough great things about this organization. I started playing in the women's 3 on 3 2 years ago and it is so much fun! I was intimidated at first because I had never played hockey before but The league is full of amazing people who are fun to play with as well as there to help your grow as a player. The coordinator also runs a Skills and Drills program which is great thing to do as well! She creates a welcoming environment and focuses on making sure you fell comfortable and work on your individual needs. She is approachable, knowledgable and passionate about hockey. I liked this organization so much that my daughter plays now too!
I started playing hockey with Harrigan Hockey in 2018 because a friend recommended I try it out and even let me borrow her equipment. It was the first time I've ever played hockey and I was 34yrs old. I was a very nervous skater as I had only skated as a kid but I found out that most of the other women in the Beginner Rookie 3 on 3 division were starting out just like me and were wearing either their husband's or their child's equipment :), and we all became instant friends. I attended some skills and drills sessions offered by Harrigan Hockey and got more comfortable as I went along. Now, a year later, I'm still playing with some of those same ladies I started with and love every minute of it. I've even moved up into the Beginner Novice 3 on 3 division and have developed my skills exponentially compared to last year.
The league is well run, game times are fairly distributed, refs are good, the other teams are fun to play, locations for games are good, and the league communication is fantastic. I have lots of experience with organized sport and know that if I or my team have any questions, comments or concerns, I can contact the convener at any time and get a solid response.
I highly recommend Harrigan Hockey!!
