Instinct Canine Training

I can’t say enough about Anna Marie Stewart of Instinct Canine Training and the difference she has made.

We recently rescued an Irish Wolfhound X and knew very little about her past or what she may have gone through. Soon after getting her home we found that she was severely leash reactive to other dogs making walks almost impossible. We were not able to have her within a block of another dog without her barking and pulling uncontrollably on the leash. We suspect that she had never been properly socialized and had no idea how to behave around other dogs.

We began working with Anna on basic obedience and ways to deal with Luna’s excitement. She gradually introduced her own dog to the training and after several sessions Luna was walking comfortably with her dog Mia. With each session Luna is reacting less to other dogs on the walks. She is also calmer and less prone to excited outbreaks. Luna is still a work in progress, but I know that with Anna’s help, she will get there.

In a very short time Anna has helped Luna enjoy the second chance she deserves.

We took our rescue Huskey here and Anna Marie was an amazing teacher. She is friendly, flexible and very approachable. She quickly was able to size up our dog, Faith, and advise us on how to manage her little quirks. The level 1 teaching was simple to follow and with practice we saw significant improvement in Faith's behavior and obedience. It was very rewarding to see our dog's development. We are looking forward to attending the next level class with Instinct Canine Training.

Our dog Stella was a headstrong girl who was a horror to walk. We started with Instinct Canine Training with the single goal of getting her to walk nicely. Anna Marie helped us conquer that goal so thoroughly that even our youngest child could walk her without worrying (before even the adults had issues). We continued lessons and now have a family member with great manners. I recently asked her to sit stay in a chaotic environment (we're in the middle of a reno) and had to even leave the floor I was on. When I returned, she was in exactly that position. Anna Marie has saved our relationship with Stella! We cannot thank her enough. If our family and this dog can do it, anyone can with the right help. Anna Marie is amazing. Give her a try. When we brought home a rescue dog last year, we knew that we needed professional training to help her become a well-mannered pet.
