My only reservation was the price tag commitment, never having put in real gym time before since I had started college, initially I didn't know if I'd stick it out. But having the regular routine now, I see that it's nothing I should have worried about to begin with.
Going through the plan, start to finish, with set goals in mind, helped me with the reservations I had on price. I think Josh and Nathan helped a lot by easing us into the new routines and teaching machines we’d never used. Making it a fun experience and not as awkward as a first timer would expect.
Training with Josh, my top goals when we started were to slim up a bit and get rid of some of the weight I'd accumulated over four unhealthy years of college. I wanted to see some muscle definition and not feel so exhausted doing things.
So far in 2 and a half months I’ve lost weight, gained muscle (some I didn't even know of), learnt many new exercises and machines, improved posture, increased confidence, and have created a better schedule outside of the gym.
I look forward to continuing a healthier lifestyle and would certainly recommend Josh as a trainer to others!
This has been and will continue to be an amazing journey!
Josh has been extremely patient and understanding. I have a long busy day and did not know if I would have the energy to give to this. My day starts at 4am and by the time I get to the gym it’s 5pm, I didn’t know if I would have the energy to keep up, but
it has only gotten better!
Josh always ensures I am progressing by increasing the
difficulty of exercises little by little and is very good at modifying or adjusting them on the fly for what I need. I truly couldn’t ask for a more qualified personal trainer!
I had only one goal when I started. I am turning 60 next
year and want to be able to say when I look in the mirror on my Birthday, “Damn! Look at you!”. This is all for me!
So far,
I have reduced my body fat %, gained muscle and am proud to wear short sleeve
shirts! (I use to hide my arms)
Increased my core strength substantially, being able to spring up off the
ground or weight bench feels amazing. Form is everything!
I had a hard time trusting my own judgement at first and now I do, I feel
stronger all over.
My upper body (shoulders, neck) were extremely stiff when I started and they
are now very mobile, I have barely any neck pain or headaches now.
My legs, derriere, arms and chest have shown significant improvement strength
wise and shape wise.
I’m so happy I’ve done this for myself! What a great gift
to give to yourself! Josh is an amazing trainer and I would highly recommend him to anyone I know looking for a trainer. The staff at GoodLife are also amazing!
With Josh’s guidance I have gained the confidence to be anywhere in the gym at anytime.
MY TOP Goals are:
#1-lower and control blood pressure
#2 - lower body fat to 10 percent
Blood pressure was high normal and to this point at a perfect normal level
When started body fat was at 20.4 percent and after 4 weeks of training down to 18.9 percent.
Josh is a great trainer and everyday he blows my mind with his knowledge of how the body works, and what needs to be done to reach the goals set out. He is easy to talk to and puts your mind at ease when the intimidation factors set in.
I am now 6 weeks into my program and couldn't be happier with the results thus far. We have 42 weeks left and I can say with complete confidence, we will achieve and surpass the goals we have set out.
