I have been working with Noha for close to two years. I initially started going to Noha because of pain and issues with my lower and upper back, shoulders, and hip instability. My main goals were to alleviate the discomfort, and become more aware of my body movement. In working with Noha, I have learned more awareness about how my body moves, especially the smaller muscles, and have alleviated most of my pain. I am still working with Noha in order to continue strengthening my muscles and awareness of my body. Noha is very patient and great at explaining what to pay attention to in order to learn how your body moves. I initially started with private classes and have now moved to semi private classes. I highly recommend Noha as an instructor!
Noha is fantastic: a true diamond in the rough! I used to be an active athlete/runner till in 2015 I started having hip pain, and eventually knee, heel and lower-back pain as compensatory patterns set in. I saw many doctors, did physiotherapy for years with little improvement, got surgeries, and while I could hobble around, I couldn't do much else as far as physical activity. In summer 2022 I began taking studio classes with Noha, as well as private sessions. She's sharp as a tack: in our first private session she was able to identify so many of my compensatory patterns that were ignored by doctors, physios and even other pilates instructors. Together we've been able to steadily rectify those patterns. While there's still work ahead for us as we untangle years of compensation, I am already regaining some athletic ability as I learn to self-correct bad postural habits. For the first time in years I feel hopeful about being able to live a life with physical activity on the menu.
There are so many things I can say about Noha as an instructor and as a person, it is hard to know where to start. I have been taking Pilates classes with Noha for more than 3 years now, including private sessions. She has a sunny, open disposition and is a pleasure to be around. I always find her sessions creative, inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable. Her verbal instructions throughout the class are clear, concise and targeted- always connecting me to my body in new and amazing ways that continually improve my posture, strength and overall stability. I highly recommend Noha, whether you’re a novice or long time student of Pilates/yoga like me.
I've been doing private Pilates classes with Noha for a year, and experienced much improvement in both physical and mental health. Noha has a concise and passionate teaching style, and with her much experience, knows the best way to gain strengths as well as flexibility. She carries a calm and motivating energy in her classes, and with her, I was able to overcome joint injuries and overall body pain. She is willing to give useful tips and skills that I can utilize outside of class. My body feels healthier and stronger, with better posture! I truely enjoy seeing all the improvements in myself through her classes.
I have worked privately with Noha for 3 years, prior to that I used to attend her studio classes. Noha’s positive and encouraging energy helps challenge myself to keep working towards my goals. Since working with Noha I have become pain free and have started building muscle mass. Noha’s keen eye allows for her to notice any compensatory behaviours in my body even when working online. Working with Noha has been the best investment in myself I have ever made. I have worked with various individuals in the past, and have never met anyone more knowledgeable or passionate about the human body and Pilates. Noha has the unique ability to create to keep creating new and dynamic workouts every class. I would highly recommend her.
