Ami Sushi

Tried this place before with a friend and I am obsessed since then. I liked the fantastic ambience and tasty dishes and beverages. 5 stars.

I would rate Ami Sushi at 3.5 stars, but unfortunately I can't give half stars. Service was good, staff were very friendly. The wait was a bit long, but it was also a friday night, so understandable.

Onto the food, and this is where I had to deduct 1.5 stars from. The miso soup was very tasty but the container it came in was only half full. We ordered several different rolls, the dynamite and spider roll were both fairly dry and the crab/shrimp seemed overcooked while also lacking flavour. I also got the Tokyo and spicy salmon roll, these were both great. I would also say the rice was a little on the dense side, but still good. I also appreciated that the ginger and wasabi were in a separate part of the tray surrounded by garnish so they didn't contact the sushi.

Overall decent food, and good service, but there are better choices depending on what you're ordering.

I love their vegetarian options. The staff is exceptionally kind and always recognize me. My experiences have always been positive and I have regularly been enjoying their restaurant for two years. I’m happy to continue to support them!

Love this sushi restaurant! The fish is always fresh. Good portion sizes and excellent menu with lots of options. Very friendly service. Great for dine-in or take-away. This is our go-to sushi spot in Oakville.

The best sushi and sashimi I’ve had so far in Oakville. Great taste and the right amount of moist.
