I had to take my computer in to Don at Technically Speaking for a second opinion after it was misdiagnosed at a larger big box computer store. I discovered that this smaller technology focused customer service oriented repair shop actually fixes parts and doesn’t just go through the motions like the big box stores. I can’t speak enough about the depth of intelligence and experience the Don implemented in methodically determining the issue with my son’s computer after the big box store could not.
I had been told by the big box store that the computer was dead. A lot of computer companies just say the thing is dead even though parts can be fixed, but bigger shops won’t fix parts they just replace them.
Highly recommend Technically Speaking. I’m still in the process of repairing my son’s computer but I wanted to leave this review given my positive experience so far. Repairing a used computer can be a scary and uncomfortable experience. But this is the place to go because this company is honest and forthright and they have a great customer service attitude. There have been some issues with the computer that Don is addressing and he is keeping his commitment to deliver the computer in good operating condition for my son. It has been a pleasure to work with Don. He’s upfront about what he’a doing and honest to deal with. And he even follows up to update me on his progress. This is unheard of.

Recently I had an issue with computer performance following a major software upgrade by Adobe. A quick call to Technically Speaking and my solutions were about to be fixed. Don picked up the PC in a safe, touchless manner and diagnosed that the machine would benefit from a new video card. He provided a Good-Better-Best upgrade scenario allowing me to choose an investment level to get that performance back. Not only that, he was able fix it in a timely manner.
