I've completed the 8 week MBSR course and I truly recommend it to anyone who is looking to reduce their stress levels. In our busy, fast-paced lives, it's truly freeing to do some real introspection and self-reflection in a calm and kind environment. My instructor, Andre, was phenomenally present and a wonderful guide along this journey. Dr. Susan Williams would also come into the class and her insights were really profound and overall, I learned to be more self-compassionate. I would recommend this course to anyone but, I warn you to treat this course as a marathon...don't sprint, just walk, then run and eventually, just enjoy the marathon!

Thank you to Susan and Andre. It is impossible to sum up the gratitude I have to you both for facilitating the incredible 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course. It is a commitment but one that changes everything. You provide a safe and confidential environment for people committed to bettering themselves and discovering the strength and joy that belongs in all of us, but has been lost in the day to day social grind. This course provides the foundation for grounding yourself and making yourself accountable for your own awareness and happiness. Your gentle kindness and knowledge allowed everyone to just be themselves, be vulnerable, while building themselves back up. This is a safe place for anyone looking to just be more loving and kind to themselves and others.

I just finished the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course at the Halton Centre. It is a true gift that you can give to yourself. It’s a lot of hard work and takes commitment but it gives you tools that you can take into your everyday life to build awareness, focus, self-compassion and resilience. Be prepared to be share with others, bring forth honesty and actively listen. Susan and Andre are great instructors who bring experience, knowledge, a feeling of calmness and a sense of humour! I really appreciated the information that was provided with respect to the true science behind Mindfulness. I feel that I could relate to this coming from a more technical mindset on things. The course is very well run and it is obvious that a great deal of preparation and organization goes into each session. The full-day silent retreat is unlike any experience I’ve ever had. I had some apprehension going into it but opened my mind to the experience. It was definitely worth it. I have to say I really loved all of the poems that were read in class; it was so nice to receive a package of the printed poems on the last day of class to take home with me. Thanks Halton Centre!

I am completing the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course and am very grateful to my instructors and classmates for an awesome experience. This is a life changing experience as I am learning to better manage my stress, anxieties, and experience an improved quality of sleep. I went to the orientation as a skeptic however I soon became a firm believer and am so pleased with my progress so far.
