A very professional, small but friendly, family owned Montessori, a great start for first timers or children that are doing better in smaller groups. This school feels like family, everybody is very nice and comforting for little ones. I recommend them as a teacher & parent.
We were on an never ending quest to find a preschool which best suited our sons's needs until we discovered La Fontaine Montessori school. They gave us the comfort that our son would be in the best hands, ensuring that the children's best interests come first and that education and even nutrition are their priority. Although it has only been my sons first week I already feel at ease knowing that he is in the best hands and I look forward to seeing the progress he will make in the coming months. Knowing that the owner opened this school with the intention to create a space which embodies the Montessori teachings to the fullest has given me the confidence that my son will flourish. Not to mention that the school's location is in an amazing space with ample outdoor space that is surrounded by nature.
I have known Sophia for years both personally and professionally as a teacher in the TDSB and I have to say that she was one of our favourite teachers! I have visited her new Montessori school during the Open House this Summer and was so impressed! I only wish she had opened it when my kids were young enough to attend. The small class sizes and organic meals for starters are amazing. Add in her special touches like micro-greening right in the classroom and the beautifully landscaped outdoor space and this place is literally a dream come true! I remember Sophia telling me that there weren't any schools around her that shared her philosophy of what she envisioned for her kids in a Montessori school so she created her own. Now that's an entrepreneurial spirit! Her warm and compassionate energy is an asset in anything she does and I have a feeling that we will see more 'La Fontaine' Montessori schools in our future! Come to Toronto next!!!
Sophie Souaid has phenomenal skills as an educator. She is caring and fully devoted to the children under her supervision. Her number one priority is her students educational needs,
She is very committed to providing a healthy, safe and professional environment for her classroom.
