Overall a great place. The surroundings are beautiful and the library itself is full of nice communicative staff ready to help. There is a section for food donation everpresent. There's also a section with information of services throughout Oakville as well as informative panflets covering plenty of topics.
super nice people.. to help you and very good collection.
Best library in the area by far--especially their events and programs for children. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and so imaginative. Real passion in everything they do. Keep up the great work.
This is a very good library, with excellent, helpful staff. The library collection is substantial... and there are also many books available "on line" [i.e. e-books]-- which are very useful when travelling. The library also provides timely information concerning community events [of interest to many travellers...
I hope that this Review is helpful.
This library may be underfunded however the technology seems to be improving. Libraries are essential for intellectual growth and should not be overlooked just because of the internet and mobile devices. I for one feel like I’m in the zone when it comes time for studying and learning. The location could benefit from expanding, obtaining more educational materials and more comfortable furniture; it’s not supposed to feel like a prison.
Pros:
1. Staff are friendly and helpful
2. A lot of natural light comes in
3. Clean and quiet for the most part
Cons:
1. Selection is not that vast, especially if you need to learn in-depth on specific subjects.
2. There is no bathroom on the main floor, it is located on the middle floor.
3. Seating in the leasure area is not designed for comfort. The library could use some cushioned seating.
4. Printing is expensive.
