Jacob and fellow emloyees were very helpful from the time I first called to inquire about the availability of the iphone 8 plus to the time I had it in my hand. A week of dealing with Rogers directly had only left me frustrated and confused because no one seemed to care to provide consistant information. I had spent all day on black friday trying to seize the deals Rogers was offering by going to several stores and calling them (waiting in line at the store for 30-45min each time and 3 hours minumum on the phone). From 8am-5pm I was occupied with trying to get Rogers to authorize my employee discount and upgrade my device (not a difficult request) but for some reason only after waiting on hold and dealing with probably 10 or so different employees on the phone alone, I was finally informed that there were no iphone 8 plus phones in stock anywhere near by and I would have to wait 2-5 business days for one to arrive. So I waited a week and when I called Rogers to find out if my phone was going to arrive soon they told me it was not even assigned or shipped yet. As I was leaving on a trip the following day, I asked if I could pick it up from their supplier and after almost an hour of being on the phone with a clueless employee while they “did their research” I was given a flat no and that I would have to wait. So I decided to call Wireless Wave in Oakville to see if they had the phone in stock and if I would simply be able to pick it up from them; I was in luck! I arrived and explained the situation fully to Jacob who started calling Rogers right away so that they could honour the black friday discount that I was originally offered. An hour went by with Jacon repeating the story as he was passed along to various employees on the phone only to get hung up on when he finally reached someone who could authorize the deal. I had to leave as I had dinner plans but Jacob continued to work on the case for me until finally he was successful! What exemplary service from a gentlemen who doesn’t even work for the company I have been a loyal member to for over a decade. Great to meet someone who cares about what they do and gives it their all. I can only imagine how difficult it is dealing with major companies on a daily basis but the customer service I was provided did not reflect it at all. Thanks again!
