The 1st Beamsville Scouts are awesome, love their park
Bomberry Park is integral to the work that 1st Beamsville Scouting does with youth in Beamsville. The youth use the property to run, play, explore, build and learn.
Our scouts have learned respect for nature by caring for and adding to the property. They have planted and tended to vegetables, flowers and trees. Some of our youth would not have had this opportunity elsewhere.
Bomberry Park is often the first place our youth learn to set up a tent and organize a camp site. They also learn how to start and properly attend to a campfire and cook on a camp stove.
Our scouts enjoy using the park to go sledding in the winter and to play water games in the summer. A beautiful green space so close to our Scout Hut is essential to our mission to bring youth closer to nature and keep them active outdoors.
1st Beamsville Scouting also uses Bomberry Park as a place to build community. Our annual BBQ and Earth Hour bonfire are just two examples of this and they could not happen without the use of the park.
We treasure Bomberry Park and are grateful that we have the opportunity to use it in our scouting adventures. We look forward to many more generations of 1st Beamsville scouts having the opportunity to use it.
Great for the kids!
Nothing here but grass and used as an overflow catch basin.
