Another free spot to look at something really cool, parking is free, path to get to the boat can be muddy and full of rocks so go during daylight. Once u see it u can see how big it actually is. A pic friendly place
This place is a bit odd. Just off of the highway La Grande Hermine sits in the Jordan harbour. It’s actually a replica of a Jaques Cartier ship, but I had to look that up when i got home. I wish there was information about the ship at this site - I would have enjoyed visiting it much more if there had been!
It’s an absolutely stunning silhouette so perfect for photographers, but maybe not a tourist destination.
The staff were some of the nicest people in the area. My girlfriend and I rented two single kayaks from them and had an amazing time. We had two hours each, and we were not disappointed. We took them out of the marina and into the Jordan Harbour. Beautiful views and calm, glass like water once you reach the Jordan Harbour. Keep in mind, if you want to kayak all the way down to the train bridge, it takes 45 minutes one way. So definitely reccoment the two hour experience if you are planning to venture off into the Jordan Harbour. The hour long option would be plenty if you are planning on staying in the marina and paddling up to the old ship. We have already planned a second trip!
