Ichiban Sushi Express

This placed saved me while I have been in town. I have oodles of food allergies/sensitivities but sushi is typically a safe option for me. I’ve ordered from here everyday this past weekend and everything I have gotten was really good. Fresh, good portions, nicely seasoned. I was shocked. The sushi was better than most places in downtown Toronto. I loved the miso soup. The edamame was perfect cooked & seasoned.

The man working behind the counter was so nice to make me a roll before he even opened so I could have a meal before the drive home.

After coming back from the beautiful Niagara-on-the-lake region, we were looking for something quick and fresh. We also didn’t want to drive because of the parking (we are staying at a nearby hotel).

We found this place on google. Compared to other places nearby the prices were much more reasonable. Also there aren’t a lot of Asian restaurants in this area. The google reviews looked good.

We picked up the food and ate it in our room (with a bottle of wine we bought in one of the wineries). The food was fresh and good.

If you are looking for something quick, light yet good, you may want to try out this place.

The worker was the kindest soul I’ve met by far, there was no dynamite roll on display so he made me fresh and really good rolls. 11/10

Honestly if you want to save money on food in this tourist spot and have decent food, this can be one of the best options. We were about to go to the casino and wanted to have quick lunch (and save some money to waste at the casino instead 😝) so we went to the food court and decided to have sushi. We were surprised to see the good amount of food at a very good price. And food was delicious too. We couldn’t be happier. They prepare fresh food. Good customer service. However to find a table to dine in at the food court was difficult because more people and less table due to social distancing for COVID.
