A little gem in a town with a lot going on! Quaint, quiet, and clean this museum gives info on the history of the area in the War of 1812 and the history of the falls itself. Small, interactive museum at a decent price. Friendly, helpful staff.
No one was there which was sad because there displays were interesting, and you get in free on Thursdays, not a grand place but worth stopping in when you are in Niagara.
The museum is good for the price and the rooms are interesting giving you a good history of the Niagara Falls area. They have one room dedicated to the history of Niagra and an optional video about Niagra Falls as well. The second room is smaller and related to the war of 1812. You can touch hold guns and try on the uniforms. The final room changes ever so often. When we went there was modern artwork created on aboriginal schoolhouse doors depicting the culture. It is a bit of a drive from the Niagra area and there are only four free spots but the paid parking is not expensive. They have elevators and wheelchairs if necessary. A good activity for a rainy day or if you just love history.
It is really amazing...the instructor is very nice...she is very knowledgeable regarding the site...
Went in today for the family day event. Nice place and very informative on the history. A little busy as it was a free event, will definitely take the kids again.
