This is a great place. Its so cute and aesthetically pleasing. You get 10 tulips for each ticket and they wrap it up so nicely for you. Don't go on days its raining. If they see lightning then they make everyone leave the fields and close the place. You cant go back in even if you don't have all the tulips. They just said better luck next year. I don't blame them either, is it for safety but we should be able to wait it out in our cars and then let us back in to finish picking. Overall I will go back again and bring more family. Its a great place. And so so cute! Lots of colours. Always check back to see whats bloomed because not all the tulips are at the same time.
An absolutely wonderful experience! This place was much larger than I expected, and well worth the trip. I ended up picking more than 10 tulips ($1 each for more) because of how beautiful they were. They wrap the flowers for you and they provide you with carrying containers, although I would recommend bringing a basket with a handle. My favourite part was picking the tulips from all the different colours. Would definitely recommend to everyone for May! 🌷
Such a beautiful place! Almost 70% of the tulips were in full bloom this week. It is a great place for families to take pictures. You get to pick 10 tulips per ticket and there are a few picnic tables off to the side. I’d recommend staying hydrated and maybe even bring a pot with some water to hydrate the picked tulips if its a long day back home. We went on a weekday morning with decent crowd. It was well managed. There was no snacks or ice cream on premise which would have been ideal on a hot day. Will return again.
I visited the tulip farm on opening day this year (April 30 2022). I knew it was early in the season so I wasn’t expecting many blooms, but I was blown away by the size of their fields and all of the many tulip varieties that were beginning to bloom! I’ve been enjoying the blooms all week long. The ‘pick your own’ is always a fun adventure! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I think they could have set up a nicer food truck/eating areas/farm shop rather than the tents and minimal picnic tables. However, if you’re only going for the unique flowers then I highly recommend!
Visited today. Disappointing that many rows of tulips were still green and not ready to be picked. Had to do a bit of searching to find some with colour to pick so they will last a bit longer. You get 10 tulips included in the price of the ticket.
If you’re looking for open blooming flowers or ones just starting to bloom, it’s better to wait until next week. Right now only the red and off white coloured tulips are in bloom.
Being a big tulip lover and also being the first time at a tulip farm, it was nice to see rows upon rows of tulips even if they weren’t ready. It’s a 1.5 hour drive from Toronto so not difficult to get to. Since it was raining the last few days the ground is soft so appropriate shoes is important. We brought rain boots to change into so we could walk the fields with no worries.
There are a couple of picture spots, a door, a frame, big yellow clogs and of the garden area. The garden had more flowers in bloom so it is a good spot to get pictures.
Overall it is well done and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Just wish the tulips were more ready for picking and enjoyment.
