Friendly service - fantastic brisket.

While visiting Port Colborne we were looking for somewhere to eat where we had never been before. We also wanted a patio. to enjoy the meal.
We came upon The Backyard BBQ company. a small restaurant with some patio seating in the heart of town.
They have a smoker/ grill right out front so you can see and smell them cooking.
You order your meal inside and they will bring it to your table outside.
Due to a limitation in meat options available, and the fact that we do not eat pork, we all had the brisket sandwich.
Since this was lunch we thought it would be a light meal to tide us over until dinner. wrong - it became our only meal of the day.
The sandwiches arrived with so much smoked brisket I could barely open my mouth wide enough to get it in.
The flavour was amazing. The brisket was perfectly cooked and tender and juicy. The sauce on it was perfection.
This was one huge sandwich full of flavour - and just what I would hope from a bbq joint.
The coleslaw comes with it - and it was a nice delicious vinegary based slaw.
The Mac & Cheese is a side dish - it was nice and thick.
There is a little beer garden right beside it where you go to order your beer or alcohol.
The guys working were amazing. The service was impeccable. - each person came over to see how we were doing, if we needed anything, and to clean up our table on a couple of occasions.
The prices were reasonable - especially for top quality brisket.
This BBQ joint puts care into presentation of the sandwiches as well. the cornbread is delicious - dont forget to get some.
This was a very pleasant and unexpected find. I am so glad we gave it a try and didn't just drive past.
and based on the number of take out orders we saw going out - this is clearly a favourite spot for locals.
Now I need to come back for the chicken. :-)

We had Backyard BBQ cater our Annual Employee Canada Day BBQ lunch. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, and buns. The brisket and pulled pork, were so tender, they just melted in your mouth. The baked beans and coleslaw were perfect. Everyone commented on how gooey and delicious the mac and cheese was. I ordered for 50 people, and we had enough food leftover that I was able to put it out for lunch again. The only thing that was really running low, was the brisket (and I can understand why...lip smacking good!)

Thank you Backyard BBQ! It'll be hard to top that one for next year's BBQ....keep your calendar open

Had Backroad cater a staff party for 12. The food was amazing and exactly as ordered. When I placed the order, the total seemed a little low, so I added some brisket to it. Now I have TONS of leftovers! Amazing value for the money! Definitely eat barbecue from Backroad. Do it now.

We had our office event of 30 people catered by Backroad BBQ Comp and the food was amazing. The meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The salad was beyond our expectations and so fresh. The sides dishes were great as well. I would recommend using them at your next event. Very professional and great food. A perfect way to have a BBQ without having to cook the food yourself!
