Very nice and clean beach
It was not very crowded, even though the day was warm for autumn / fall. The beach seems to be sheltered.
Locals very happy to greet strangers with a nice hello a d smile.
We had a flying visit and we wish we had more time.
Nickel Beach is excellent for the family! Water is shallow and clear, you can see little fish swimming along the shoreline. Sand is clean, no rocks/pebbles. The only downside is that after I pay $50(out of Towner) to park on the beach, the washroom is DISGUSTING! ? Which makes me wonder how many people are using the lake ??
Water temperature was fabulous.
Walk so far in sandy shallow waters.
Water was so clean and clear.
Love the minnows swimming around.
Washrooms.....disgusting!!!!
Flies were biting like crazy!!Wanted a nice relaxing beach/ veg day could not have it because of those damn flies....literally had to lay in the water to avoid them.
Great for kids and family outings.
Bring your BBQ"s and enjoy.
So close to home.
People......bring your bug spray!!!!
Clear and warm water. Being able to drive on the beach is a plus and staff keep the beach clean while not harassing the patrons. Bathrooms could use better servicing especially when paying to be their. Only issue is the increased fees for non Niagara residence.
I went to Nickel Beach the day it re-open. Beautiful beach! The water’s clean. There are some algae but it’s only in one area of the water. You can bring food drinks. And there’s so washrooms. It’s pretty convenient that you can drive you car all the way to the beach area, you just need to pay entrance fee. At the gate you can either pay with cash/card. For the Locals it’s $20/car but if you’re from Toronto it’s $50/car(they increased the price).
Over all we had a good time! Everyone seems to be practicing social distancing. I would go back but we will park outside the entrance gate and walk over to the beach.
Hope this helps!
