Stayed here june 22nd. Lovely clean atmosphere! I stayed with Marlene who incorrectly rated the cleanliness so I'm saying its great! They have milk bagels cereal orange juice are there for your use! Highly recommended !
We highly Recommend this place! Ted goes above and beyond the expected to ensure your stay is first rate. He met us on arrival, gave us a tour of the accommodations. There's orange juice, milk and bagels in the fridge, cereal, pancake mix and some spices in the cupboard. Lots of pots and pans, dishes, cutlery available. The apartment is clean - no, spotless!
Warm, comfortable, even cozy - bright, with a great view of the canal. We couldn't have asked for more. Check it out - you'll love it!
Fantastic place. Really enjoyed my stay. Super clean and a fantastic location. The building faces the Welland Canal at Lock 8 just off of Lake Erie so you can see the lake freighters passing by. The Port Colborne Historical and Marine Museum is a block away with an original steam powered car, a ships bridge and some great history of the town when Port Colborne had an INCO nickel plant. I loved that the Pilot Lodging building was originally a bank; checking out the vault on the main floor was very interesting. We stayed upstairs in what was originally the bank managers residence. It was very comfortable and Ted made sure we had food, juice and coffee. The kitchen is full size with everything you need. There are also lots of great places to eat in Port Colborne. The bath is a clawfoot tub which was gorgeous with a nice shower. The bed was very comfortable. Not sure if Ted made the headboard himself but it is obviously custom made. Internet was included and nice and fast. We were there on a cold November night yet the lodging was nice and warm. I believe there is central air for the summer but we didn't try it. I will definitely be returning and hope to stay longer next time.
Awesome location right on canal and steps from lake Eerie
