Short answer: it's amazing
Long answer: The Oasis is a long-standing institution in St Catharines, it just happens that its name and location have changed. Originally the "Double V" was on Downtown St Paul Street several decades ago serving up kebab, shawarma, and falafel way before it became trendy. Personally, their falafel continues to be the benchmark by which all other falafel is judged: it's still a secret recipe and each ball is carefully made fresh to order. Sometime in the early 2000's the name changed to Oasis, later moving locations to Port Dalhousie and adding scooped ice cream to their offerings.
These folks were the original pita place in St Catharines and continue to produce consistently amazing food. The owners are warm and kind and have been active in our community for many years
Lots of different ice cream flavors and great service! The lady was nice and said I didn't have to pay the change.
Oasis was suggested to me by a local, as I am visiting from BC. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was not disappointed! I had the falafel wrap, and the hummus appetizer. It was the freshest and most authentic tasting hummus I have ever had! I have had many falafels as they are one of my favorites, and this was the best I have ever had! Just like the hummus, very fresh and authentic tasting. The wrap was warm and fresh. The couple who owns the restaurant were very kind and obviously do a great job. I highly recommend this place if you want some good quality and fresh food! I hope to be back soon!
Friendly staff. A simple but fresh and tasty wrap. Great for taking to the beach. Only feedback would be to make the wraps even tastier by offering more toppings. Tabbouleh, olives, pickled turnips etc. Think you would get a lot more business. Would eat there again.
When I went in it wasn't busy. Greeted right away, very friendly, I ordered the chicken shawarma to go. I devoured it when I got home. Will definitely try again!
