Skrtich Living

Property Management is excellent!!! Always quick to help out and resolve any issues given the fact there's a lot of tasks for them to do on a day to day basis. Building itself is spacious and well kept. Some inconsiderate neighbors but that's anywhere you go, management is quick to deal with those issues. Overall, nice building, great landlords and excellent location for everyone!!

I've been a tenant with Skrtich Living now for about 2 years. The building I live in is great, very quiet never had noise complaints, its clean and always well maintained. My favourite amenity at my building is the gym. In the previous apartment building I lived in our gym area was never cleaned, equipment would break down and never be fixed. With Skrtich, I never have to worry about that, the area is sanitized and I've never seen a machine out of service in all my time living here which is important to me as an avid gym user. All my maintenance issues have always been resolved promptly. Recently there has been some management changes which has only made my experience living with Skrtich that must better. Christian in particular has gone out of his way to resolve any issues I have, his responses are always professional and prompt. I can't praise Skrtich enough, finding a decent apartment building in Niagara is always a battle and I'm thrilled I have found this building. Keep up the good work!

Great place to live, owner is nice, his staff from the office are nice. They go above and beyond for the tenants.

Overall: Skrtich Living is a great option! I wish Google did half stars - 4.5 is my true rating! As a tenant for almost 2 years (23 months) at McArthur Lane, I can say it is a suitable place for upper year students or young people transitioning out of post-secondary school. With private ensuites that have lots of storage and lots of closet space, McArthur Lane offers significant privacy which was a major plus! I recommend the corner unit if you love natural light or plant life since it has 2 windows!

Staff: As for staff, Christian has been a pleasure to communicate with over the last couple months! He is a perfect match for the company and does an amazing job with property management. Christian has been doing excellent with roommate pairing to ensure comfort of all tenants and is super outgoing. Staff in general are friendly and receptive. If there was any complication, they were super flexible with me if I communicated well in advance. In addition, I love that they let you ship packages to the rental office to prevent package theft! Great idea and well organized.

Location: Perfect location for commuting to downtown, Brock, or the Pen Centre. The Thorold bus terminal hub is just 3 minutes away with multiple routes to every place! In addition, traffic noise is limited since the McArthur building is located on a one-direction lane sandwiched by buildings between the downtown core and Ormond (a busier street). It is also easy to access necessities such as groceries and a pharmacy with a shopping plaza a block away. Foodland can be expensive so a quick bus trip to the Zehrs at the Pen is a better go-to!

Cons: The three drawbacks are that it is not sound proof, the unit I lived in was coin-op laundry, and there is no green space. I've experienced "thumpers" in the unit above which can be annoying, especially if they enjoy parties that develop into early morning. As well, the noise your roommates make can travel. I was lucky to live with great people! Laundry can become pricey if you don't have a lot of clothes to rotate through and the machines are top loaders that aren't super gentle with clothes. The green space is limited with a patio and sometimes neglected garden on the side of the building. There are parks in the neighborhood if you seek them out as a solution. However, the significant majority of my time here was beyond enjoyable with no major complaints!
