Cathy Peters, Shoreline Art Studio

I had the pleasure of visiting Cathy’s waterfront studio this past summer. We managed the restrictions of the pandemic. I feel fortunate. It was a gorgeous day for a drive to the shores of Lake Erie. The studio shares the Lake’s shore. Wow. It is light-filled, open, comfy and beautiful. Work benches and supplies galore if I should find my way to learn with her one day. Inspirational artwork everywhere. And the Lake.

I just popped back on to her website to view her gallery pics. And to remember the quiet joy I felt on that afternoon with Cathy in her space. Covid sucks and art helps. Just saying.

Thanks, Cathy, for a memorable afternoon. It helps to buoy me during darker days in this pandemic. Beauty sustains us. I’m grateful for your gifts and your hospitality. (How fortunate am I that I encountered your lovely spouse on that fine day;).

Hoping for a kind and generous season ahead. Thank you for opening your home-studio to us all. I hope to visit again soon. Is a sunny day in winter too soon? Time will tell.
