Best doctor I ever had, before I had Dr Kerry Boyd. He was very clear about my medication and understood me.

PS, now that I have Dr Boyd, Dr Boyd thinks I could get diabetes on my Risperdone medication early, LIES. I am 21 years old's and Dr Boyd is very fixated on diabetes. Lies

Smart, sensitive, encouraging and nonjudgemental. honestly the best doctor Ive ever had.

I found him very insightful and knowledgeable, his ability to explain behaviours and responses and prescribe medications accordingly and accurately is why I have give this rating, it’s important to remember to tell your doctor ALL or symptoms and struggles and not to go in diagnosing yourself as that is what their doctorate is for. Also, the Niagara region is in a large struggle to find more psychiatrists as there is a growing number of mental health issues, so often once you get into see a psychiatrist they send their recommendations back to your family doctor as only a psychiatrist is skilled in such areas to prescribe the necessary SSRIs.

I have been through my fair share of psychiatrists in the Niagara regional health care system and I reassure you this man knows what he is talking about, and cares about getting you to a stable place and explaining how he’s going to help you do it.

What I recommend:

1) write down your questions to ask
-) about the problems
-) about the possible solutions
2) arrive about 15 minutes before the appointment
3) remember he’s not there to judge you, if anything he’s the one person on the planet that won’t lol. Take advantage of that
