My wife and I started training with Essen almost a year ago and going into training with Essen I was a bit apprehensive being not as physically active as I wanted but also at the time living an unhealthy lifestyle (not eating right or drinking enough water etc.) but over this past year she has helped me become stronger not only physically but mentally as well. Essen takes the time to understand what your goals are and helps you push past your current limitations through positive encouragement and doing the exercises right there with you. She has and continues to find new and exciting ways for each session to be more engaging, more challenging and most of all A LOT more fun than going to the gym and we look forward to seeing Essen every week. Her meal plans are easy, filling, and most importantly delicious :P There are so many reasons to go give Essen and The Trinity Health Collective a try.
I had no prior training whatsoever and absolutely no affinity for any physical activity... seriously. My husband and I started training with Essen almost a year ago, she has helped me become stronger physically and mentally. Essen takes the time to build a trusting relationship with you, not only does she know your body’s capabilities but she genuinely cares about your well-being. She eases my anxiety and makes training something I look forward to every week. Her training sessions fly by because, she creates fun and rewarding lessons that builds upon your skills and keeps you engaged. The entire Trinity Health Collective are super friendly and treat you like family. I would highly recommend training with Essen, you won’t regret it!
I started training with Essen at the end of December. At that time, I had been working out on my own for almost a year and finally hit a wall. I felt like I was at the final stretch of my weight loss journey and struggling to lose my last 10lbs! I needed to switch up my routine, so I decided to invest in a personal trainer.
I found Essen through a friend and.. Oh man, where do I even start!? Since day 1, Essen has reminded me of the value of movement. During one of our first sessions, she said, “we’re going to help your body remember how to move” and I have never thought of it that way. It sounds silly, but I never had a purpose behind my exercises at the gym. I would just use an app and follow the workouts and never really made a connection between an exercise and how it affects my body.
Essen opened up my mind to looking at every workout and movement with intention. She is full of knowledge and explains how each movement affects my growth and how it helps in the real world with her fun little “tests” lol. She’s patient and knows exactly what I’m capable of and when I’m ready to be pushed. Her workouts are creative, thoughtful and tough! Her positive energy gets me through the workouts and most importantly, she doesn’t judge me when I sweat everywhereeee! Lol.
Now, I have a completely different mindset. I’ve shifted my focus from “losing my last 10lbs” to “let’s see if I can do a ninja obstacle course this summer” lol. Oh.. and she also opened the door to new challenges and pushed me to try Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu and I loved it! It literally feels like I’m starting my health journey all over again lol :)
I’m very happy with my results so far and I’m excited to see what the rest of the year will bring :)
I never thought I would enjoy and push myself as much as I do when I train with Essen. I always hated going to a gym alone or even with friends. I would get self consious and embarrassed that I didn't know how to formulate a work out or how to use what was available to me. I never invested in a trainer because it always felt like they were pushing a quota and I couldn't articulate what I am looking for or where I want to be.
Essen helped me figure out what I wanted and what it was going to take to get me there step by step. She figured out quickly when to step on the gas or pump the breaks with my training. I look forward to the high five or "great job" when I complete a challenege, wether I'm red in the face & sweating or just did it flawlessly. It took a while for me to pay attention enough but I am getting so much stronger. Essen also has a good eye to see when you are not challeneged anymore and adjusts quickly by adding more reps or a heavier weight.
(Secret tip: If your smiling and laughing she will know its too easy ?)...in a good way
Her patience, kindness, compassion and knowledge is unbelieveable. At least try her complimentary session it's free and you wont be dissapointed.
Her hair is also on point too?
