They were making some unpleasant food for the whole of last year (2018). Came back here in April 2019. I asked if the got a new chef, the cashier said no, but the everyone looks different tonight. Well the the food was tasting as close as it possibly can when I first tried their food back in 2015. The chicken was once again moist, soft and falling off the bone as opposed to 2018 version. The rice flavour improved over last here, has some taste to it. They are adding fried plantains and coleslaw got a welcomed redo, with cucumbers and extra carrots. The one thing I will like to be improved is some scoth bonnet flavour in the chicken it is lacking that touch. I will argue if you can barely taste it , its not there, and it's a vital savoury flavour.

Jerk chicken with oxtail gravy and peas rice was tasty. I’ll still hold Baker’s Jerk as no 1 and will put Gems as no 2. I ordered large and the chicken servings were generous. It’s a small store but have 8-10 dining tables as well. They were playing Jamaican song which was refreshing to listen. Price was around $11 for large and it’s worth !
