We have been associated with PLASP for over a year now. My toddler was home bound once COVID-19 hit us all. When PLASP re-opened in July, we had to take a hard decision to send her back, we took a week (after opening) to ponder on it. My child went back to PLASP in July and we are very happy that she is thriving.
Staff at PLASP - St. Daniel Comboni, particularly Melanie, was very helpful in easing my worries and anxieties , explaining the things there were doing to ensure safety of our children and inculcating social distancing. I visited and saw the arrangement and spoke to multiple staff members to get the comfort.
Even now as the schools are opening and more children are joining back, Melanie has been keeping us posted on changes and updates to the arrangements, and I do see the appreciation in my child for the new normal ways of interaction with other children.
I can absolutely understand how parents may feel in letting their children get back to PLASP. The clarity of communication and depth of details I received from staff has helped me, at the same I understand and own the responsibility as a parent to monitor my child's health and to keep them home if they are not well.
