Legendary Doula Care

I have taken on caring for my beautiful granddaughter. I have been out of being a caregiver to a newborn by 21yrs. A lot has changed in those couple decades! I was very out of loop as well as faced with new challenges.

Amber took her time to re-educate me... help get my confidence back as a caregiver and assist me with the onslaught of questions I had. I have a very unique situation with a lot of very heavy circumstances and Amber made it easy and comfortable for me to be open with her without judgement. Instead it was a safe, with loving open arms. I would highly recommend her for her knowledge and her amazing support.

We had our first child recently and there was nothing I could have done that could have prepared me for the overwhelming experience we had. James was born via C-Section and shortly after he was born, was taken to a nursery for minor health issues. Needless to say, since we were separated for 30 hours after he was born, breastfeeding proved to be most challenging. After almost a week of trying, nothing was working. Amber came to assist us and were we ever grateful she came when she did. She immediately identified one major issue which was my pump was ill-fitting and the cause of very sore and sensitive nipples as well as chest pain (who knew pumps came in different sizes?!). After correcting that, we then worked on different breastfeeding positions and strategies. Not only was the information helpful, but she reassured me that it wasn’t wrong to go with my instincts even if it contradicted what we were told by nurses at the hospital. After all, we knew our baby best and what worked best for us. After her help, I was able to successfully get him to latch and feed. With every day that passed, he would latch just a little more than the day before and within a few days, we were breastfeeding pros. Not only did she provide much needed guidance, she also came equipped with lactation cookies she had made for me. She'd researched ingredients that boosted milk supply and made custom treats. I cannot thank her enough for the help and support she provided my husband and myself. I was stressed out and felt like a failure and it was very comforting to know that I was on the right track and just needed a few adjustments. I would highly recommend Amber, not only was she extremely helpful but she was very calm and patient and really just made me feel a lot better and more confident about navigating the challenges of motherhood.

Amber brings a wealth of current and evidence based information to her practice. She is personable, professional and brings a relatable and fresh feeling to her work. She truly makes you feel relaxed and empowered as a parent no matter the situation. I would highly recommend Amber in any of her services to any soon-to-be, new or veteran parent(s)(Information changes frequently and she is certainly well versed in what's current). Personally she has been a life saver to me in many, many situations. Amber's passion for doula care makes her an absolute asset and I would highly endorse her services.
