湘村发现 Mississauga Hunan Style Restaurant

A busy place surely. Restaurant managed by teenage students almost completely. Food was above average, however the speed of service was terribly slow.

I really enjoy the food here. As someone who only speaks English, the website not being legible may put some people off but don't let it. The staff are fluent in English and the food is fantastic. Service is punctual and polite. Food is prepared fast enough and is mainland China quality Hunan cuisine. Authentic and delicious. Pricing is competitive, $7 for a side (pork fried rice for example) and $13-14 for a main. Washrooms have been clean whenever I've visited, restaurant itself is spacious, not too loud and clean. -1 star for the not so accessible webpage but everything else receives top marks.

Food is good here, BUT it's a shame that ALL of their cutlery, bowls, and cups smell like dishwasher chemicals. It's because they only serve you with plastic. The soap and chemical smell from running them through the dishwasher is melted into it. Whenever you eat soup, you smell the chemicals on your spoon. When you take a drink of tea, you smell the chemicals again. It actually ruins the taste of the dish you're eating. I'll give this place three stars, but I won't return until they serve dishes and utensils on porcelain.
