This board game cafe does so many things right. For $7, you can play as long as you want. The selection of games is pretty good and I appreciate the 1 game per table rule (should be self explanatory but that's how things are). Food and drinks prices are very reasonable and of decent quality, though I think having a few non-fried options like paninis would be even better. And they're right next to Hey Noodle for those late night cravings after 10 pm. Would highly recommend to any board game afficionados.
An awesome and fun gaming and Cafe spot right in the heart of Sauga. The staff are super friendly and engaging and the Cafe is clean and has tons of board games. The kaarage is delicious so is their fries and i highly recommend the garlic aoili. Definitely a great spot for friends and family
So happy it reopened! In my opinion, this location is far better. It has a cozy feel, slightly reminiscent of the kind of tavern a main character would be in before their adventure begins (obviously quite fitting), as compared to the last location which felt more corporate for lack of a better descriptor. Prices are a bit better for food, $7 flat fee to play the games is reasonable. I can recommend the karaage chicken and highly recommended the cookies.
As others have said, this place is truly a hidden gem! Great selection of games (we played Pandemic, King of Tokyo, Citadels) and great food. They have a limited menu composed of karaage offerings but the food is SO delicious! I had the karaage and onion rings and absolutely loved it — I would’ve gone for seconds but I got too full. The staff is awesome too. They allowed us to bring a cake from outside for celebration purposes. They even happily moved our table after we requested it due to an inconvenience. Lastly, they take reservations! (I had reserved a group of 4).
All in all, a great board games cafe and I plan to return to this place.
This place is fantastic! This little gem is hidden in a small plaza in the quiet suburban neighborhood. You play board games here while having a snack. There's a whole wall of board games to choose from. There's even a private room for parties. Staff is very nice and polite. The store is clean and well kept. I came here with my daughters to discuss family stuff and ending up playing games all night! If you have a family tradition to commit to hanging out and staying connected, try this place! It's a good change of scenery than just the dining room at home. Stay safe out there people and keep washing those hands! Pandemic or not, it just makes good hygiene sense!
