(December 19, 2018, 5:38 pm)If you are looking for a great mom-n-pop shop to try some great pizza aside from the usual big franchise pizza we usually indulge in, then King Pizza is definitely the spot. I am sure they have a great local following being located in a small commercial plaza just north of Eglinton on the east side of Kennedy.
Don't let looks fool you, this place could definitely use some updating on the inside but it's not overly horrific. The ugly tinge of green paint could use a fresh coat of something neutral but nothing that takes away from their taste/quality.
In terms of customer service, I've read some reviews that say they are mean or don't provide overly friendly service. This isn't necessarily true, this is likely a family run business and they are usually pretty busy so they always provide a sufficient service but don't necessarily roll out the red carpet. It's important to keep your expectations in check.
The pizza & wings combo is probably the best bang for your buck. You'll get 3 toppings (S-XL options) & a pound of wings for a killer price of around $20-$25. The crust/dough is tasty & toppings always seem to be fresh - they are generous with toppings as well. Wings are BIG & meaty, sauce isn't anything overly amazing as it seems they make their own in house medium, mild, hot, etc sauces. Still tasty though!
Give their garlic cheese bread a try too, you won't be disappointed.
Don't hesitate to give this place a shot. Very cost effective for what you get & it's pretty tasty. HAPPY EATING!
