Nice quiet place on the lake complete with an off leash park.
It is a nice place to visit for couple of hours . There is a lot to be done to make the place more attractive and point of attraction .
It's a great place to have a picnic or take a short stroll to the lake. There's lots of interesting things to see and read about. It's also great to take kids to what with the splash pad and play ground. It's a busy place on the weekends and in the evenings when the weather is nice so get there early.
Great park. Right beside the lake BUT unfortunately there are a lot of families there who leave their little kids run crazy without supervision. One little boy hit my niece because she didn’t want to play with him. I had to yell at that kid because he kept following our daughters and nieces and they had no interest in playing with him. His parents were nowhere to be found even after I made a scene yelling at him and asking where his parents are. This kid was 2 years old....sans supervision.
This review for the Off Leash Dog park only.
Originally a 3 star rating, I’ve bumped it up to 4 now.
I thought it was best for large dogs because my medium sized dog was overwhelmed by the number of larger dogs which sometimes run around in groups. Now I’ve seen the light and realize it was my dog and I lack of inexperience which impacted my review . I can now say we feel very comfortable with the large dogs the park attracts. They will play with my dog now and put him in his place when necessary, they don’t bite only bark. I was also not a big fan of dog walkers bringing their packs with them however I now like it because the dogs quickly figure out who wants to play and who doesn’t. So the more dogs the better.
The down side is that’s it’s a fairly wide open, flat, area with little shade. For something much more like a hike/walk, drive over to Jack Darling which is ~5 minutes away. J.D. also has a park for small dogs; after going to the parks for a number of months now I that section is likely best for puppies under a year old. I see lots of small dogs At Lakeside with big dogs and I really haven’t seen any issues.

(905) 615-4100 Pros - a lot of open space, cemented walkways and off beaten trails - this park is suitable for a variety of activities; frisbee, biking, running, etc. etc. Cons - the washroom could use daily maintenance as opposed to the weekly/monthly cleaning that it likely gets (there was an odour).

Lakeside park, really nice! There is a playground for the kids and lots of walking by the lake for the adults. Picnic tables, benches, scenery, lots of areas to stop and throw rocks into the lake.
