The Dog Stop

My dog goes here once a week for daycare. The training programs are interesting too! Would be great to have cameras to monitor the play sessions from mobile.

The Dog Stop takes such great care of every dog that comes into their care. I trust them with my puppy and love that they give daily report cards and post pictures on their social media platforms. They offer more than daycare too, grooming and training are other services that I have taken advantage of. My dog loves going to daycare, he is so excited every time we arrive and the pictures show just how much fun he has when he's there! They provide structure during the day with playtime, crate time and lunch (if needed). The facility is well set-up with play structures, cots and agility equipment, as well as an outdoor area. Communicating with the staff and owner is enjoyable and I always have quick responses by phone and email. I really appreciate being able to get my dog in for daycare last minute if needed, and that they have strict policies on all dogs being up to date with their vaccinations in order to attend. I highly recommend The Dog Stop for your dogs daycare, grooming and training needs!

We have been utilizing the services offered by The Dog Stop for over a year in a variety of forms - private day training, basic obedience, social obedience and day care services. We have two dogs who are siblings, and with that we encountered a number of various behavioural challenges that we did not have the experience or knowledge to correct. Over the course of just over the year, The Dog Stop has been able to help us correct a number of those challenges and help our dogs live a much more fulfilled life. It is still a work in progress, but Arlene (owner) and the team are constantly giving us tips and tricks on how to continue to strengthen their skills, which are highly effective. Arlene makes herself very much available whenever we have questions and takes the time to explain the theory and practical application of the techniques. Prior to working with The Dog Stop, our dogs were highly reactive, timid and scared of a number of encounters, including other dogs. Fast forward to current day and we now have our dogs out on walks with significantly less reactivity, the ability to interact with other dogs and much calmer. I would add - you will only get as much out of it, as you put in.

Well the name says it all. They are amazing with teaching dogs and fixing some naughty behaviors. Doggy Axelrod and Sherman are getting their canine degrees there!

Being a dog lover for life, I had been to a few trainers before. I decided to give Dog Stop a try because I had heard great things about them. Also, their location was close, training hours were good and their price was right. I am really glad I did. Arlene, the owner and head trainer was the perfect blend of enthusiastic but not shy to tell you if you are doing something wrong. Exactly what a good trainer should do. In my case, my pup is a severe puller and screeches when we walk. Arlene assessed our issue and took the time to provide perfect solutions to my problem that have worked tremendously. I cannot thank Arlene for going above and beyond my expectations. Her basic obedience class was exactly what we needed also. She really cares about her students and really helps to make your pup a fantastic addition to your family. I highly recommend The Dog Stop!
