Mom’s Island Eatery

I love this place, I pretty much inhale the food because it's so good, lol. The food is always so fresh and tasty, I could eat it everyday. I live a bit far but will still make the drive when I can. The owner is nice too.

Friendly staff and generous portions. A nice "Back Home" type of vibe and ambiance. Was pleasantly surprised to see proper Karahi's in the kitchen imparting that fantastic flavour into their dishes.

Can be a bit tricky to get there if you've never been before. You'll see the front of the restaurant from Markham road, but you'll need to swing around the back of the plaza via. Kirkham, Karachi, or New Deli Dr to find parking and then walk to the front entrance.

I’ve eaten at A LOT of Jamaican food in my day and they by far have the most delicious oxtail and rice and peas. The coleslaw was lit as well! The guys are super friendly and this place was amazing! It’s a must try!!!!

My entire family and I drove from King City to have lunch at Mom’s Island Eatery and we were not disappointed! The service was commendable from start to finish! The food was delicious! A true taste of the Island! The portion size is extremely large, lots of meat at a great price! Thomas gave us large portion of tasty food, it was awesome! This was by far the largest food portion that we were served by any Caribbean restaurant. The ambiance was great! We will definitely go back!

Absolutely the best Caribbean restaurant in the area! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Was able to put together a last minute party tray in a short amount of time.

We ordered a lg tray of jerk chicken with rice and peas for our office. Came with all the fixings! Fried plantain was the first to go!

Mom's is now my go to place for island food!
