I've been hearing about this place and decided to take a drive up there and see what they have.
Pros:
-Fresh backed apple pies
-Courteous and nice staff
-Good drive and beautiful winds
Cons:
-Pricey
-I'm not sure its because I went in late August, but they had next to no vegetables or variety of baked goods.
-No variety of different apple pies
-Apple crumble pie was a bit too sweet ( less sugar on top would help), however still delicious.
In the summer I come here every week to get fresh fruits and veggies. Sweet corn is the freshest and is usually picked that morning. I also never leave without a pie; I've probably tried every flavor and they are all delicious.
Great farm. I love their brownies and the pies. The pies smell amazing and taste delicious regardless of whether it's apple, peach, raspberry, you name it!! Their molasses cookies are good too.
I used to come here a teen with my family and we'd buy the pies in the morning when they come fresh out of the oven. It ruined me from eating grocery store pies that taste like plastic compared to the fresh pies at this farm 😂
If I return to Toronto to visit, this would be one of my stops.
Visited (08/September) : get the coconut pineapple muffins!!!! You won't regret it!!
Really cute year round market. A bit pricey but warm kind people. Really nicely done and great produce. I bought jams and fresh fruits and vegetables.
It was our first time to visit their farm market. We came here to join the pick our own strawberries. Our experience was great! Their staff were really friendly & helpful. After picking our own baskets of strawberries, we stopped by the farm market to get some freshly baked goods. By the time we arrived the market at 3:30pm, there were not too many items left. Luckily, we could still get a pack of their homemade chocolate chips cookies and raisins bran muffins. If you want to buy their daily fresh baked goodies, they suggested we go before noon time. Will definitely go back to try their homemade fruit pie next time!
