Senior Helpers Markham

Senior Helpers located in Markham Ontario has been a “God Send” to me.

My 89 year old aunt had slipped into dementia over the Summer. I’m her nephew and her only living relative.

My aunt had lived on her own in an apartment in Ontario, I live in Alberta. I cared for her over the Summer but then had to go back to work.

By the end of the Summer, it was clear that my aunt could no longer live on her own and that I could not move to Ontario. I hired Senior Helpers in September to look after my aunt.

Charlene and Yvonne (and their staff) at Senior Helpers provided excellent care for my aunt wrt to shopping, medical appointments, washing clothes, feeding, bathing, cleaning the apartment and just simply “being there” for her.

I was provided regular updates as to my aunt’s condition. They were a tremendous help after my aunt fell in her apartment and had to be sent to the hospital (including being available for meetings with hospital staff and representing my concerns).

Eventually (after the fall in her apartment) we had to transfer my aunt into a senior’s home. Charlene accompanied me to several senior homes and helped me ask all the right questions. Even now that my aunt is in a senior’s residence, Senior Helpers is helping me with forwarding mail and cleaning out my aunt’s apartment.

They have been extremely professional and at the same time almost like family. I can not recommend them highly enough.
