Elder Tree Montessori (Thornhill - Yonge St)

I've sent both my sons to Elder Tree from infancy to toddlers. The staff are extremely caring and warm. They think of fun exciting activities for the kids to do each day, while keeping you updated on the HiMama app if you are ever curious what your child is up to. I would highly recommend Elder Tree.

My daughter started attending Eldertree Montessori when she was 10 months old. All the way from the baby room until her last year of preschool they have provided my daughter with great programming and the staff are attentive, patient, and kind. They work hard everyday to provide fun learning experiences for the children. When my daughter started JK this past September her teacher asked about her math skills because she was advanced. I told her kindergarten teacher it was all credited to Eldertree Montessori. They prepared my daughter for Kindergarten with math skills, language, and social emotional skills.My daughter made so many friends at Eldertree. When my daughter left the school she knew her letters, numbers, how to write her name, she knew shapes, colours, simple addition, sorting and patterning. Outside of academics the staff are warm, and responsive towards the children.

My son started in the baby room when he was only 5 months old and continues to attend Eldertree. He loves it so much he asks to go on weekends as well. The teachers create programming for different age groups and abilities. My youngest daughter will start to attend Eldertree in September when she is 6 months old. I feel very confident with this decision because I know she is getting high quality care, when I have to be away from her. I get daily notifications and pictures through the HiMama app. This allows me to know what my child is eating daily and to see what activities or discoveries my children have done for the day. Today I got a video of the children experimenting with what happens with Cola and mentos. The children in the video seemed to love it!

During Covid-19, the staff have taken every pro-caution seriously, keeping the school and classrooms sanitized and clean. They have taught the children the importance of hand washing, social distancing and wearing their masks. Even though we are in a global pandemic, my son still gets to have fun. Everyday he gets to play, socialize and interact with children his own age which is a very important developmental skill for small children. Virginia and the other teachers are very responsive and understanding I highly recommend Eldertree Montessori.

My daughter started at Seedlings when she was 8 months old. She couldn't even walk. Four years later, Seedlings has taught her so much and helped her blossom. As she is leaving to go to JK next week, she is writing thank you cards to friends and teachers, spelling each of their names. I couldn't have been more proud and more grateful to each and everyone at Seedlings who worked with her through the years. I honestly could not have wished for better care for my child nor could I have found a better group of people to help her through each one of her great milestones. Thank you Seedlings! I wish there was an extra star to express how highly I recommend this daycare.
