Such a beautiful heritage house and the grounds are lovely and welcoming! Walking on the grass is encouraged! Loads of parking and room to wander, there are picnic tables in the back garden.
This house is owned by a friendly ghost...recommended to visit! Beautiful place for a endings, etc.
Magnificence abounds. This mansion was the dwelling for the Heintzman clan. Pianos were manufactured by this famous family. The historical premises, unfortunately, are not open to visitors. Viewings can only be seen of its exterior. Such is a wondrous gift, in and of itself. The best time to visit is late May or early June as perennial beds of soldier-like tulips are an incredible sight to behold. Should that timeframe be missed, find this resplendence in full summer bloom. What an enchanting landscape. The memory will forever remain.
Beautiful heritage building, well maintained inside and outside, is a great venue for small (up to 100 ppl) gatherings.
The area I loved the most was their solarium, which not only brightens the place but also gives great views of the garden.
Would strongly recommend for smaller gatherings/functions.
Had my wedding at Heintzman. Was a great small venue for our 110 guests. The bridal suite is stunning, we even did some photos in there. The house is able to accommodate 113 but it is tight, however doable. Our caterer was Food For Thought, which was 10/10 delicious. The staff at the City of Markham was very helpful during the wedding planning process, and always quick to respond to my hundreds of emails. I would definitely recommend this as a wedding venue for someone looking for a more intimate, classic feel.
