Kumon Math & Reading Centre

I have worked at Kumon for three years and it has been nothing but amazing. The environment caters to all the students by allocating a great learning experience through strategically engaging the children, providing them with patience, and adaptability per their needs. The staff is passionate, understanding, diligent and are always ready and excited to work. Farnaz especially loves to help the students by accommodating time and guidance in order to understand their topics. She loves seeing academic growth through her students who come to Kumon and does her absolute best to keep the centre at its finest in the results of having every student succeed. All in all the Kumon Oak Ridges Centre is a great place for students to build a strong foundation in both Math and Reading.

I have worked at Kumon for just under two years, and it was a fantastic experience for me, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys working with children. The work environment is very positive, friendly, and well organized to ensure that work is being done at a fast pace without causing anyone any stress. The children are encouraged to work diligently and ask questions when they need to, creating a hardworking environment where everyone is focused on learning. Since the level of work is not bound by age but rather ability, children have the opportunity to learn far past their grade level and get a head start on their peers if they are doing well, while others can practice material of their own age until they become confident. This system allows for everyone's needs to be catered to, allowing every child to have a positive experience. The staff was very friendly, Farnaz was very accommodating, and the workload and hours were very appropriate for the nature of this job.

I have worked at this center for over 5 years and I highly recommend the Kumon Oak Ridges Centre. It's a great engaging environment that surrounds the kids with a positive learning experience as well as teaches them to become independent learners. The staff is cooperative, understanding, and patient with all the students. Farnaz takes time to individually assess each student, create a learning plan and evaluate them periodically to ensure their academic growth. Parents are communicated with constantly and kept updated on their child's progress as well as given tips on how to improve their child's learning from home. Working there, I have seen multiple students who had struggled academically, reach their goals and excel as well as surpass their grade levels as they come to love learning. The uplifting atmosphere of the center and the inviting encouraging personalities of the staff have made this an ideal place for learning and growing academically.

My daughter has still learn here and even is possible with online in this pandemic. It is positive and safe activities during this time that makes improvement in her academic. It has been good timely response and communication from Kumon.

My experience at this Kumon centre has been great. Both my kids have been studying at this Kumon center for couple years now on both subjects. I can’t say enough about the instructor, she is a good-hearted and caring person, detailed oriented, very professional and loves what she does. Both my kids are much more confident when it comes to literacy and math at school. I strongly recommend this center to anyone who is looking to enroll their kids in Kumon programs.
