We gave up and just called Kleinburg Locksmith for key replacement. Service from the locksmith company arrived in just a few minutes and provided us with a new set of keys. To avoid the lockout incident in the future, we also have it duplicated. We were happy with the services, especially with the student-friendly price that comes with it.
