Kobi Korean BBQ

If I come to Kobi, I usually always get their K-BBQ, specifically their pork belly. Their pork belly is thick and juicy, unlike some restaurants that serve lower quality K-BBQ dishes. Their K-BBQ dishes are priced around the same as the other famous K-BBQ restaurants in North York. I have also tried their tripe casserole/hotpot and it’s really good! Their chicken and cheese is just average in my opinion - I find that the cheese gets hard too quickly which I can’t enjoy with the rest of the chicken pieces. Recently also tried their Sullungtang and it’s not too bad. They have a patio which is nice for the summer time and inside they have a pretty big space. Also what’s nice about this location is that there is a dessert place, cafe, and a mall right nearby!

I had cheese dakgalbi here and it was a good portion and good taste (a little bit salty though). Also a fried rice in the end was good but too sweet. Service was good. Food was served quick. Just wish they had provided a bowl of rice with this menu. I would definitely return for the same menu.

Love this place. Even though Joons closed down the street, it was great to know that other places like Kobe brings Dalbaki to a whole new level. Sides are delicious and customer service is excellent. Definitely recommend.

The seafood pancake was alright. The first time I had seafood pancake was in Korea and it's so much better. The spicy rice cakes were definitely spicy and if you can't take spice I would not order this. Someone in our party had to stay away after trying one and finding out that it was too much for her. The cheese wasn't very pliable with the spicy chicken. I guess I expected that really nice cheese pull.

The servers come soon after the bell is rung but they're in such a rush to leave every time that you're not able to get another word in and they're gone.

When it came time to pay one server was fascinated with a baby in our party that he didn't hear a question that was asked haha. I guess that's good and bad.

The staff are friendly and the food is decent quality. The atmosphere is also decent. To me compared to other korean BBQ places they could do better with the side dishes and portions. Its lacking a wow factor .. I dunno what it is.
