Great place to be, but definitely during rush time they need more staff to help.
Staff are great but need more supervision to keep the grown-ups in-check during story time. People won’t stop talking and will show up late to story-time and will sit in front of little kids. My son was just getting comfortable with story time when a lady with an infant sat in front of him. Did not understand what I tried telling her but my son had already become uncomfortable and checked-out of story time. Please have someone watch what is going on during story time. It’s really not worth leaving the house for this frustration.
The library is small but staff are super helpful, patient and polite. I visit the library frequently and never was disappointed.
The Vaughan public library at this location has few kids activities like matching the items, blocks, counting and stuff. There was even a small, live turtle in there. Kids love it. There are a few computers with learning games for kids.
The location is great because it has a very nice kids play area outside, there is an Upper Canada community daycare as well. There is a North Thornhill fitness centre, but I guess you need membership. The swimming pool here is one of the best in comparison to other nearby community pools.
There is ample parking.
Really good library. Well organized, books are easy to find. If you have a question, the staff is always ready to help you and they're really friendly. If a book isn't there I can easily put a hold and it'll arrive in that library after just a few days and I can come pick it up quickly. The library is quite small compared to others, but as I said, you can easily put a book on hold if it isn't there. I recommend it to anyone living nearby who loves books.
