Tickled Toad Pub & Grill

The ambience is nice. It has well lit areas and some not so lit areas with ambient lighting. The decor is neat and clean with some interesting memorabilia. Ample tvs. Decent beer selection, service is pretty friendly, and prompt. Definitely helpful with the menu and help you out with the menu and the food+ beverage selection. I'd go back if I were in the neighbourhood.

I had a wonderful time at the anniversary party this weekend. The band was great and so were the staff. What a great bunch of regular patrons on hand that night. Felt like I was one of the regulars. Looking forward to visiting again.

Had a lovely meal on the patio there last night, good service, good food and good drinks but the experience was marred by the owner/host. I had gone inside to use the washroom, neglecting to wear my mask as I did but keeping my distance from others, as there were only two patrons inside. When I returned, the host/owner came up behind me at my table, put her hand on my shoulder, leaned in so her face was less than two feet from mine, and spoke to me without wearing a mask, telling me to wear a mask when I go inside. I told her I would, but asked her to wear her own mask while speaking so close to me and to keep her distance. If she was trying to make a point about my dangerous behaviour, she did so in a way that was far more dangerous than anything I had done. By contrast, our server wore a mask and followed safety protocols.

So happy to have finally found a neighbourhood pub to call my own! Reminds me of my old haunts back in MTL. Great food and great service - Sonia is a true BOSS! It's easy to see why this place has such a loyal following.
