Akita Sushi

Great selection of sushi, sashimi and tempura. Quick service after ordering via tablet. Great for groups.

First time having sushi and this place was great. Clean and delicious. I would come here again.

Perhaps it's asking too much, but it would've been nice to get a bit of communication during the dining experience. Their whole system is quite efficient with the iPad software tracking all of the orders and then a few seconds or minutes later, someone brings the item you ordered to your table. BUT then that person disappears and doesn't say anything. A little, "Here's your General Tao chicken and pineapple fried rice, enjoy????!" would've been nice. Once again, the service is efficient. Other than that, the food and location are decent and tasted as expected. Their "Hwy. 7 sushi roll" was pretty good. The washroom was clean and spacious. And, there is a Tim Hortons in the same plaza if your are feeling for it.

Tried Akita for the first time. The food is very good , especially the sushi. I have never had sushi like this..not only was it beautifully prepared and well put together but it was also very, very delicious. We ordered a few things over and over because the selection is minimal when you visit during the week. I would definitely return on a weekend to try a wider variety of menu options.

I came to Akita Sushi for lunch a couple weeks ago with my roommate. I was surprised to see that it wasn’t too busy, which worked to our advantage as the food came out very quickly. The sushi is pretty good, not the best I’ve had but also definitely not the worst. The service was okay although I wasn’t sure who was actually our server. Will likely come back if I’m in the area again.
